Region at a glance On the south-east coast between Albany and Esperance, Ravensthorpe is located within the stunning Fitzgerald Coast, home to the internationally recognised biosphere reserve renowned for its flora and biodiversity. Brimming with undiscovered wilderness, year-round wildflowers, it is the gateway to the largest and most botanically-significant national park in Australia – the Fitzgerald River National Park and would easily be one of the state’s undiscovered secrets. Two-thirds of the Fitzgerald Coast is natural bushland, made up of the national park, the Ravensthorpe Range and reserves; all rich in geology and native flora and fauna, including many rare species unique to the area. The coastal scenery of Hopetoun and Munglinup is spectacular with

grand headlands, pristine white beaches and idyllic rockpools for safe fishing and swimming. Begin at the Ravensthorpe Silos followed by a visit to the visitor centre and museum before venturing to the Kukenarup Memorial and Heritage Walk. Don’t forget to check out the Farm Gate Art Trail dotted around the landscape as you make your way to Hopetoun or scenic drives around Ravensthorpe. The picturesque coastal town of Hopetoun , 49kms south of Ravensthorpe is an absolute gem. Surrounded by unspoilt wilderness and 200km of pristine beaches, it is the perfect setting for a relaxed, all-year round holiday. Explore the botanical wonderland of the Fitzgerald River National Park and stunning walk trails just

10mins to the west or travel east along Southern Ocean Road to the spectacular Mason Bay and Starvation Bay and numerous access points to many beaches and rock pools. Further east, discover the little town of Munglinup renowned for their stunning beach lagoon and the Oldfield Estuary; a haven for wildflowers and birdlife.
