L ocated on the South Coast Highway between Albany and Esperance / Kepa Kurl, the Shire of Ravensthorpe is located within the stunning Fitzgerald Biosphere Coast. The internationally recognised biosphere reserve is brimming with undiscovered wilderness and easily one of the state’s best kept secrets. It is the gateway to one of the largest and most botanically significant national parks in Australia — Fitzgerald River National Park. Two thirds of the Shire of Ravensthorpe is natural bushland, made up of the national park, the Ravensthorpe Range and reserves — rich in geology and native flora and fauna, including many rare species unique to the area. The coastal scenery of Hopetoun and Munglinup is spectacular, with grand headlands and pristine beaches unique to the south east of WA.
