Norring Lake Norring Lake is a large freshwater lake south west of the Wagin townsite. Fantastic camping and picnic area and ideal for skiing and water sports. TownWell, Mount Lathamand Puntapin Come see the town’s original water source, the 1890’s Town Well located in the parking bay just off Arthur Road. This water was used prior to the construction of water catchments at Badgarning Rock at Mt Latham and Puntapin Rock. These two granite formations have wonderful views over the town and surrounding farmland areas.

T he town is the centre of a thriving Merino stud industry and proud home to the Wagin Woolorama, Western Australia’s largest rural show. A 2.5-hour drive from Perth, you will be enthralled with the beautiful rolling Wheatbelt countryside and quaint historical towns along the way. Settled in early 1880s, Wagin is near a series of ancient lakes and is regarded as one of the most heritage rich rural towns in Western Australia. The streetscapes boast some of the state’s most beautiful early 20th century historical hotels. Their architectural significance adds extra interest as you walk the streets of this friendly town absorbing all the charm of a regional farming community. To acknowledge the prosperity created by the wool industry, meet ‘Bart’ the Giant Ram on the western side of the town.
