Region at a glance 245km North-East of Perth Dalwallinu & Surrounds Dalwallinu is a charming Wheatbelt town approximately 250 km north of Perth and is an ideal base to explore the region’s prolific wildflowers from late winter to spring. Drive one of the Shire’s heritage-themed routes or visit as the first stop on The Wildflower Way, a popular tourist route stretching north to Mullewa. The Shire is also known for its large multitude of Acacia (wattle) varieties which are celebrated each September during the Wattle Week Festival. Top Attractions Dalwallinu Discovery Centre Houses the Visitor Centre, Library, Community Resource Centre, and environmental displays. Open weekdays and weekends during wildflower season. Petrudor Rocks 45 km south-east, a beautiful reserve with wildflowers and natural pools after winter rains. Xantippe Tank & Reserve 33 km east, built in the 1920s to capture water runoff; a hotspot for orchids and bush flowers. Rabbit-Proof Fence & Rider’s Waterhole Historic fence and original waterhole along Rabbit-Proof Fence Road. Miamoon Reserve 27 km north-east, known for wildflowers and its gnamma hole in granite.

Wubin Wheatbin Museum Showcases the region’s rich farming and building history, featuring a fascinating rock and mineral collection. Visitors can explore local history through photographs, artefacts, and a dedicated annexe displaying historic vehicles and agricultural machinery. Buntine Rock 3 km east of Buntine, with panoramic views and spring wildflowers. Jibberding Reserve 25 km from Wubin, featuring colourful everlastings.
